Position Summary
Kokak Chocolates seeks a Full-Time Store Manager with strong retail management experience in a small business environment. The manager needs to be comfortable with technology and communicate with both in-store and remote sales team members daily.
Requirements and Skills
- 2+ years of management experience in a retail environment with strong leadership skills
- Customer service experience, preferably in a gourmet or luxury goods company
- Crystal clear communication skills
- Highly organized, neat and clean
- Inventory control experience: retail products, ingredient and supplies
- Merchandising experience: Product and Store
- Computer Proficiency: Mac operating system
- Apps Proficiency: Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive
- Proficiency in printing collateral and labels in in-house store printer
- Ability to pivot across different tasks and objectives daily
Responsibilities
- Maximizing profitability: Setting sales goals, analyzing sales data, and making decisions about pricing and inventory management
- Implementing marketing (event, social, etc.) and sales plans: Implementing marketing strategies to increase sales, and developing promotional strategies to attract customers
- Organization & Maintenance: Keeping the store organized, ensuring all equipment and fixtures are working well and maintained
- Inventory logging and control: Tracking ingredient and supplies purchases and existing stock, ensuring the store has enough of each product in stock
- Time management: Identifying and prioritizing tasks to complete duties on time, ensuring team members are punctual and clear on how to use their time at the store well, ensuring vacations are planned ahead to minimize work disruption and challenges from other team members
- Coordination skills: daily coordination with management and sales team
Administrative skills: Printing labels and marketing / sales collateral, organizing paperwork at store, shipping duties
- Staff management: Recruiting, training, supervising, and appraising staff
- Customer service: Dealing with customer queries and complaints
- Compliance: Ensuring clear understanding and compliance with health and safety legislation
- Reporting: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales and Operations Reporting
