CNC Setup

Location: San Jose, CA

Description:

We are seeking experienced persons for CNC Set Up who are knowledgeable in operating various Computer Numerically Controlled machines. The essential duties of for CNC Set Up at Delta Machine are:

• Read blueprints, drawings, CNC programs and engineering instructions to ensure conformance to specifications of precision parts
• Perform CNC machinery set-up function by downloading preset CNC programs and make minor adjustments to CNC programs to direct sequence of machine operation
• Operate CNC manufacturing equipment, including lathes and mills, horizontal and/or vertical
• Inspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or setting tapers and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, etc.
• Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment

Requirements:

CNC Set Up personnel should have the following knowledge and skills:

• 2+ years relevant work experience as a CNC set up
• Good reading comprehension skills
• Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics
• Ability to learn, understand and utilize CAD/CAM programs and G and M codes
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Able to work effectively with little or no supervision
