Launched in 2010, SFMade is a first-of-its-kind, non-profit economic development organization that has served as a national model focused on providing industry-specific guidance, education, and resources to the manufacturing sector. We’ve built strong relationships with manufacturers across diverse industries including CPG, apparel, and advanced manufacturing.
Our strengths include our unique youth programs like FlexFactor, our extensive network of advisors and service providers, and our ability to connect manufacturers with technical assistance. In partnership with the City of San Jose, SFMade launched MFG in 2018 to drive resources, knowledge, and visibility to the city’s more than 1,200 manufacturers.
By helping companies grow in place, we’re creating jobs for the local workforce while building pride in local manufacturing. As we expand our regional footprint across the Bay Area, we’re seeking passionate people who share our commitment to strengthening the local manufacturing ecosystem.
The South Bay Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting local manufacturers throughout San Jose, Santa Clara, Milpitas, and Fremont. This position requires a versatile professional who can provide business guidance and resources to manufacturers of all sizes while developing meaningful relationships throughout the community. As the primary point of contact for South Bay manufacturers, you’ll help businesses navigate challenges, access resources, and facilitate connections with SFMade’s broader network of experts.
The South Bay is home to a diverse manufacturing ecosystem – from small artisan producers to advanced technology manufacturers. These businesses face unique challenges including space constraints, operational efficiency, and growth management. Your job is to understand these challenges and provide practical, actionable guidance.
SFMade is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
