Hiring Made Easy will cover basic HR concepts that will help you if you are looking to make your first hire or just want to make sure you’re on track as an employer.
Next Level Strategies is a local HR and Recruiting Consulting firm that specializes in helping small businesses. Founder and CEO, Julie Chendes, will cover important issues such as:
  • Paperwork requirements
  • Local ordinances
  • Exempt vs. non-exempt employees
  • Independent contractors vs. regular employees
  • A variety of wage and hour issues
  • What you can and can’t ask during an interview
  • Harassment prevention information
  • Julie will also field any questions.
About our speaker:
Julie A. Chendes, SPHR, Founder and CEO of Next Level Strategies.

Julie’s 24 years of experience spans work in the high tech, non-profit, and marketing industries. Julie holds an M.S. in Human Resources Management, a B.S. in Public Relations, and a Human Resource Certificate from San Francisco State University. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) as certified by HRCI. Julie taught seminars and consulted with clients at the San Francisco Small Business Development Center, and served on the Board of Directors of Instituto Familiar de la Raza for eight years.
