Alta Design and Manufacturing, Inc. is hiring immediately day shift 7am to 3:30pm. Located in San Jose.

CNC Set up/Machinist

4 years of experience. Pay Rate: $25- $35 depending on skill level

Experienced CNC Machinists set up and operate many different CNC machines that include multi-axis CNC mills, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce close tolerance and rotational components.

Job Requirements of the CNC Machinist:

Set-up and run all parts assigned by Supervisor
Select and install cutting tools, load programs, and mount fixtures and work pieces
Inspect and measure parts to ensure the meet the established specs of customer blueprints
Document your work and enter data into the JB system
Monitor and replace cutting tools as needed in machines and equipment
Minor editing is required and notify programmer if updates are needed in the master file

Qualifications CNC Machinist:

At least 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist setting up and operating CNC machinery
Extensive knowledge of CNC vertical and/or horizontal machines
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gages
Read blueprints and be able to set up and make precision parts from reading the blueprints
Understand the tooling needed for each job and make parts according to GD & T requirements
Have knowledge of G & M code to make edits when its necessary
