Description:

We are seeking experienced persons for CNC Set Up who are knowledgeable in operating various Computer Numerically Controlled machines. The essential duties of for CNC Set Up at Delta Machine are:

Read blueprints, drawings, CNC programs and engineering instructions to ensure conformance to specifications of precision parts
Perform CNC machinery set-up function by downloading preset CNC programs and make minor adjustments to CNC programs to direct sequence of machine operation
Operate CNC manufacturing equipment, including lathes and mills, horizontal and/or vertical
Inspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection
Perform basic machine adjustments such as off-sets or setting tapers and basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, etc.
Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist
Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment
Requirements:

CNC Set Up personnel should have the following knowledge and skills:

2+ years relevant work experience as a CNC set up
Good reading comprehension skills
Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics
Ability to learn, understand and utilize CAD/CAM programs and G and M codes
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail oriented
Able to work effectively with little or no supervision
