We are seeking a talented and experienced Industrial and Systems Engineer to join our team at an EMS Contract Manufacturer. As an Industrial and Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall productivity. Your expertise will contribute to streamlining operations, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities of the Industrial and Systems Engineer:

Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Develop and implement effective production line layouts, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, equipment, and manpower.
Identify areas for automation in manufacturing and recommend appropriate solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and optimize automation systems and technologies.
Conduct time studies and analyze work methods to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in electronic manufacturing processes. Propose and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity, leveraging automation where applicable.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in electronic manufacturing by applying Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement techniques.
Collect and analyze production data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in electronic manufacturing to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality standards, resolve quality issues, and implement corrective actions in electronic manufacturing processes.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization, material utilization improvements, and automation-driven efficiencies.
Lead and contribute to engineering projects, including the planning, execution, and resource management of automation-focused initiatives.
Qualifications of the Industrial and Systems Engineer:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial engineering or a similar role, preferably in the EMS industry.
Strong knowledge and experience in electronics manufacturing processes, such as PCB assembly, surface mount technology, testing, and final assembly.
Proficient in analyzing complex data sets, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing data-driven solutions for electronic manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing automation technologies and systems in electronic manufacturing, such as robotics, automated testing equipment, and process automation software.
Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Solid understanding and practical experience in Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization in the context of electronics manufacturing.
Familiarity with industrial engineering tools and software, such as AutoCAD, simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and ERP systems
Proven track record of successfully managing projects, including planning, execution, and resource management of automation initiatives in electronic manufacturing.
