Job Description

Position Summary:

Production Inventory Control is a critically important role, responsible for work in process inventory availability and accuracy, within all Production work in process functions performing multiple tasks: Material Management, and MRP transactions as see fit by the department Manager. Additionally, this position will work closely and support Operations. The Individual must exhibit a high degree of attention to detail and follow processes accurately, rapidly with minimal errors.

The selected candidate will execute production protocols to meet production targets assigned by management. Effectively and immediately communicate any complications that arise and then be able to work with cross functional team to establish and maintain a solution. Transact and manage raw material inventories including expired materials to ensure accuracy within MRP and other systems, all to support on-time-delivery performance and internal production schedules. This role will require an individual who takes ownership and responsibility and demonstrates a proactive mindset to technically lead small teams, multiple tasks, and drive projects and tasks to completion in a timely manner.

This position is currently 1st shift however may require a spilt shift (1st to 2nd) and overtime as schedule dictates.

The selected candidate will also participate in general production, including and capable of:

Responsible for leading production floor material accuracy, cycle count program, Kan Ban replenishment program and all stock transfers transactions.
Responsible to assist the department manager to technically lead the team regarding material controls, scheduling, and system transactions.
Responsible to assist the department manager with writing standard operating procedures related to material control and inventory accuracy.
Responsible to assist the department manager with training others on standard operating procedures.
Responsible for executing all production floor inventory management tasks.
Responsible for quality of work and employee safety.
Education and Experience:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years of relevant experience
Prior experience operating material handling equipment is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Employees must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team environment.
Flexibility to work on multiple tasks with increased effectiveness
Ability to manage time well and will put in extended time as needed
Ability to communicate effectively, and support others in the team
Knowledge of work performed by the department and learning how to perform multiple functions within the department
Highly organized with good attention to details and good with Numbers.
Can quickly learn and apply new skills, processes, and approaches
Good communication skills (verbal and written English). Can effectively document their work.
Exhibit a high degree of flexibility, teamwork, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Basic computer literacy with MS Office software environment
