About us

Bryr Studio is a collection of hand-made clogs inspired by the West Coast lifestyle. Founded in 2012 and based in the Dogpatch district of San Francisco, every pair of Bryr clogs are hand-made in our factory. Dedicated to the simple idea that the best products are made with the best materials, Bryr clogs are constructed using the strongest, most supple American leathers and traditional European solid wood bases.


The position

We are looking for warm and outgoing people to join our in-person retail team and help make our retail experience exceptional! If you’re looking for a fun and flexible weekend job, this might be right for you. This job comes with a pair fo clogs ‘signing bonus’ and a quarterly clog allowance.

Located in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, our Brick and Mortar retail shop is our flagship store. It’s a beautiful space for our customers to come try on and purchase clogs, and get to know our brand better. The retail associate represents our brand, and is an important member of our team. The responsibilities of the PT retail associate are to assist our customers with their purchase, represent our brand well and maintain a beautiful, organized and functional retail shop. You’ll assist with special projects – such as internal pop ups, external markets and our big annual sample sale.


Areas of responsibility

  • Work on the retail floor on weekends and some holidays.
  • In a welcoming, helpful and professional way, aid our customers in finding their best style and fit.
  • Accurately check people out using our POS system.
  • Communicate with our customers in a professional and helpful manner, in person or on the phone.
  • Ensure that the retail facilities are clean, organized and productive to use, including daily tidying and cleaning.
  • Ensure that our in-stock merchandise is organized and accurately inventoried. Check-in inventory into our backend accurately.
  • Assist with building compelling and effective merchandising and display for the shop.
  • Assist with prep and execution of sales and loyalty events.
  • From time to time, reach out directly to our customers regarding orders or pick ups.
  • As needed, coordinate with the team on any specific customer questions or orders.
  • Contribute to the overall business culture and growth using our Culture Guide as a tool for self-reflection and an ongoing commitment to self-growth, the growth in others, and the growth of the company.
  • Contribute to the overall culture and business growth by participating in or leading improvement committees and projects when needed.


Qualifications and requirements

  • Great communication skills
  • Great aesthetic eye
  • Superb collaboration skills
  • No prior selling experience is required, but some in-person sales experience is welcome, especially in clothing, homewares or shoes.
  • This position is includes working on the shop floor and require the following physical demands:
    • Walking and standing (about 6-8 hours per day)
    • Ability to see detail
    • Lifting up to 25 lbs


Compensation and Benefits

  • Classification & Hours:
    • Part time/Weekend. This job is flexible and can be from 16-72 hours per month
    • Days: Saturdays and/or Sundays
    • In person only, no remote work
  • Job location: 1080 Illinois Street, San Francisco, CA
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Starting rate for this position is ~$23 per hour paid bimonthly
    • Sick hours accrued as per SF mandate.
    • Free clog allowance of one pair per quarter (Must work a minimum of ~60 hours per quarter to qualify)
