MMclay is seeking a skilled production assistant/ studio potter who is skilled at throwing on the pottery wheel and capable of reproducing designs with precision and efficiency. Looking for someone who is passionate about having their hands in clay, knows quite a bit about ceramics, and has a solid understanding of the nuances of clay and the pottery making process.

What you’ll do:

– Throwing the requested products with efficiency and proficiency
– Wedging and reclaiming clay
– Maintaining the structure, character and integrity of each piece
– Achieve consistency across products
– Throw each piece to the standard of the production sample
– Be willing to challenge yourself to throw more efficiently to maximize quantity and quality of production
– Maintain studio cleanliness
– Assist with loading clay and materials weekly
