With a focus on high-quality fabrics, refined tailoring, and timeless design, we take a thoughtful approach to sustainability. Every piece is designed and made locally in our Mission District atelier, crafted in small batches with meticulous attention to detail.

The position

We are expanding our team and looking for an experienced, highly disciplined Patternmaker to support ongoing collections and production. This role is best suited for someone who is extremely detail-oriented, dependable, and takes
full ownership of their work — from first pattern through production-ready execution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Draft first patterns from sketches, references, and design direction
  • Execute fittings and apply corrections with accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop clean, production-ready patterns with clear annotations
  • Maintain consistent sizing standards
  • Troubleshoot fit and construction issues independently
  • Collaborate closely with design and sample teams to meet deadlines
  • Maintain organized, well-documented pattern files and version control
  • Uphold fit standards across collections and refine blocks as needed

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5–10+ years of professional patternmaking experience in women’s wear
  • Strong background in woven garments (dresses, tops, tailored styles)
  • Deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and textiles
  • Exceptional precision and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple styles simultaneously without loss of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills during fittings and revisions
  • Experience preparing patterns for production is a strong plus

Reliability & Accountability

This role requires someone who:

  • Meets deadlines consistently
  • Communicates clearly if issues arise
  • Follows through without repeated reminders
  • Takes responsibility for accuracy and completeness of their work
  • Is comfortable working independently and being accountable for outcomes

Work Structure

  • Contract, part-time, or full-time considered
  • In-studio work preferred; hybrid may be considered for the right candidate
  • Ongoing work available for a strong fit

Why This Role

  • Join a small, experienced team with a clear aesthetic and standards
  • Work on garments from concept through production
  • Stable, established brand with over 10 years in business
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on fit, quality, and process

To apply, please submit your resume and a brief note describing your patternmaking experience and work structure preference. Work samples or a portfolio are welcome.
