Position Summary:
The San Jose Facility Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our two manufacturing buildings in San Jose. The Site Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Upholding all company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the two San Jose buildings, including organizing work activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and requirements.
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to ensure that all work is coordinated and executed efficiently.
Work with engineering and production on all aspects of fabrication including, laser/punch, press brake forming, welding, powder coating, and electromechanical assembly.
Maintain customer and MASS quality requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Meet all departmental metrics.
Coordinate resource needs with international sites.
Meet weekly with each direct report to ensure goals and metrics are being met.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
This position requires a high level of soft skills to be successful, including but not limited to, active listening, conflict resolution, de-escalation, and understanding the learning styles of various personnel.
Required to work closely with Human Resources to demonstrate throught modeled behavior how their personnel, particularly supervisors under their guidance, should operate while within MASS.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at the appropriate level across the organization.
Good interpersonal and communications skills; team mentality with the ability to motivate.
Strong problem-solving skills, and decision-making skills, with the ability to think creatively and analytically.
Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
Ability to commit to a flexible schedule in order to engage with day and swing shift teams.
Ability to travel to other sites as needed including local and international sites.
Ability to follow verbal/written instructions.
Ability to be cross-trained in other departments to help with unexpectedly high demands.
Required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Required to wear PPE when in the production area.
Education & Training/Experience:
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct all site teams.
5+ years of direct hands-on experience in metal fabrication.
3+ years of management/supervisory experience.
High school degree or equivalent.
Reading/understanding of drawings, GD&T, schematics, and blueprints, 5 years
Operating machinery and utilizing various equipment/tools, 5+ years.
