The Role
The Brewery Technician I position is Fort Point Beer Company’s entry level role in the Production department. It is designed for employees with little to no direct production brewery experience. It involves basic manual tasks in a team environment largely focused on packaging operations and facility upkeep. Attention to detail, teamwork, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn and grow professionally are key to success in this position.

Job Duties
- Assemble and fill master cases by hand
- Safely palletize, wrap, label, and organize packaged beer
- Assist in canning line setup and breakdown including sanitize in place, clean in place, and clean out of place procedures
- Independently operate Wild Goose 600 can filler
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Operate semi-automatic keg filling machine
- Regular cleaning of horizontal and vertical surfaces
- Ensure that all products meet required quality control points
- Accurately record quality measurements and completed packaging numbers
- Assist with other brewery tasks as needed
Job Requirements
- Able to follow oral and written instructions
- Able to lift, bend, and move repetitively
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to safely lift at least 50 lbs and be able to push/pull up to 2200 lbs using a pallet jack
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
- Prefer previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Prefer previous experience operating filling, labeling, and packing or similar type equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation
$22-23/hr

Hours
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm; Shifts are 8 hours each with occasional overtime required
