Fort Point Beer Company is seeking a Chef to help re-open our Valencia St Beer Hall and manage the kitchen thereafter. You will work closely with the company founders, previous chef (as a consultant) and senior leadership team to help staff & re-concept our flagship restaurant & taproom. Ideal candidates will have a passion for all things food, craft beer, natural wine, a strong understanding of hospitality and customer service and must have a minimum of 10 years service experience, with at least 4 years working as a kitchen manager / sous chef / chef.
You will join a team of experienced restaurant & brewery professionals and have the full support of in-house human resources, accounting, marketing & financials teams.
The work schedule will be 5 days per week, including weekend work.
- Love of food, beverage and the restaurant industry
- 10+ years of working in commercial kitchens
- Proficient in all back of house operations
- Coach & teamplayer, experience training and developing cooks
- Strong understanding of menu economics, cost controlling & inventory control
- Basic familiarity with front-of-house operations
- Food purchasing
- Inventory management
- Timeclock management & employee breaking
- Fluent in Spanish (optional)
$85,000 - $100,000
