Our philosophy is to make the highest quality and most unique product possible, but to be approachable to the everyday drinker. We are artisans and masters of our craft but are in no way pretentious or condescending and are incredibly passionate about sharing our products with everyone.
Seven Stills was founded in 2013 and has grown at over 100% per year for each of the six years we have been in business. We currently operate four Direct to Consumer retail locations in San Francisco and are in the process of opening our new flagship production and retail facility in the heart of the Mission Bay, just five blocks away from the new Warriors arena, less than a 10 minute walk to AT&T park, and surrounded by the tech headquarters of companies like Adobe, Zynga, Square, Stripe, Pinterest, and many more.
In order to continue at our growth trajectory we are in need of a senior level controller and compliance manager to help run the day to day finances and compliance needs of the business. Our ideal candidate will have previous controller level experience, be proficient at Excel and Quickbooks, and have some experience in compliance. Our compliance needs include: running/managing payroll and HR systems, reporting production and sales numbers to various government agencies (i.e. ABC, CDTFA, BOE, TTB), employee required postings, and license renewal.
Additional skills should include the ability to prepare budgets, forecast earnings, run reports in Quickbooks for banks and investors, manage payroll and AP/AR.
Although having the above skills are important, our number one hiring criteria is that the individual is a cultural match with our company. We are all very fun, outgoing, social individuals, but are also incredibly hard working, competitive, and driven. We are looking for individuals who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help a coworker out whether it’s brainstorming new beer ideas, pouring at a festival, or helping move supplies around the warehouse. We are a very small, very tight knit group and we encourage teamwork and motivate our coworkers to grow into higher roles within the company and incentivize our employees with stock options in our company.
The compensation for this position is $75,000 per year with the ability to renegotiate salary six months after start date. Additional benefits include: health/dental, PTO/sick time, monthly gift cards for product/merchandise, future employee stock option purchase program/granting.
Previous accounting/controlling work, proficient with Quickbooks/Excel.
Previous experience working in consumer goods, specifically alcohol.
