Job Duties

Job Description
We have a great opportunity to add a machinist apprentice with a great attention to detail to our team. We are a growing architectural lighting manufacturer based in San Francisco, CA. Our organization is currently a proud member of San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and SFMade.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assemble, measure, cut, and prepare metal materials according to each order & assist with assembling light fixtures as needed
Maintain high accuracy when measuring and cutting metals for Aion LED’s light fixtures
Utilize basic math skills as needed to measure material accurately
Understand the general process and protocol for operating machinery & tools to prepare any material
Collaborate with Technicians and Supervisor
Maintain a positive work environment
Assist Metal Cuts Department & Production Team with:

Preparing material
Metal milling • Cleaning metals
Assisting multiple Technicians
Cleaning & additional general support
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


1-year of metal experience preferred
Must possess excellent attention to detail
Must maintain a high commitment to excellence in their work on a daily basis
Basic math skills (High School level preferably) is required
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and work safely
Must have excellent communication & organizational skills
Must be accountable for their work and have a positive attitude
Must be professional, punctual and self-motivated
Excellent attention to detail is a must
Must work safely and follow rules
Excellent organizational skills
The possibility of driving errands & field service calls
Onsite construction skills a plus (i.e. architectural, building, etc.)
Forklift certificate a plus
Education Requirements

Diploma/ GED required

Skills/Experience Preferred


30-day trial to hire, $16-20/HR DOE. Full-Time Starting Pay, OT
