We're looking for a detail-oriented part time worker to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, and is self-directed and good at problem solving. This position will have two roles: Shipping/Product Quality Control and some wood production work depending on our needs in the studio. You’ll receive paid training as you learn both roles on the job with our team.

In the office role you’ll help with product quality control, packaging, shipping, managing orders and inventory plus some production tasks as needed. In the studio role you’ll help with product production, packaging, and general studio upkeep. This position requires some experience working with wood and/or power tools.

*The production space is a short walk away from 24 Muni line. The space is reachable by car (unmetered street parking available) or by bike, it is about a 15 minute bike ride from the nearest BART station.

Job Duties

Studio work:
Production takes place in Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco*, Mon- Fri from 10-6PM, 1-2 days a week. Our workshop is in a busy studio and shared production/prototyping workspace. It is large enough to easily accommodate physical distancing from others in the space. Your work will be mostly independent working in the shared space with one other person. Our studio has great airflow, with a covered outdoor space to work in.

Tasks include:
- Quality control on products coming out of production
- Packaging and managing inventory
- Order fulfillment and shipping
- Prepping wood for production
- Sanding and finishing products post-production

Job Requirements

Our studio is fully vaccinated and we practice social distancing always, and masking when required.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 30+ lbs comfortably and do a variety of physical tasks and climb stairs
- Must be 18 or over
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication skills in person and email

Skills/Experience Preferred

You should have some experience with:
- Shopify
- Google Docs/sheets
- Order fulfillment, packaging, shipping
- Managing and reading pack lists, order forms
- Using a PC laptop for admin/Shopify/google docs and Gmail
- Experience using orbital sander and/or other power tools
