Founded in March of 2014 in the Outer Sunset, Andytown is dedicated to sourcing, roasting, and brewing the most delicious coffee in the San Francisco fog. Since our first day of business, we have had an extraordinary customer following. Weekdays now have a constant stream of customers and weekends rarely have a time when we don't have a line to the corner. We are hiring a full-time Pastry Assistant to join our kitchen team at our new cafe at 181 Fremont! We are currently ramping up to grand open and launch our food menu. Everything is made daily from scratch - our pastry menu is inspired by Northern Irish baking, featuring seasonal produce from the local farmers market.

We are looking for a person with professional baking experience to lead our daily bake out and prep of pastries - there will be opportunities to work in other areas of the kitchen as well. We are looking for someone who is resourceful and dedicated to working efficiently. Interested candidates with professional baking experience are encouraged to apply. Job Duties

Job Details: This position is a full-time hourly position starting at $19 an hour + tips, health and dental insurance, sick pay, and access to all the coffee you can drink! Full and open availability is required as we are gearing up for the grand opening.

Job Description and Goals:

- Responsible for facilitating the daily bake out and prep of pastries
- Responsible for the quality of the pastries coming out of the kitchen whether you or your coworkers are executing the bake.
-Communicating ordering needs to the kitchen manager
- In the first phases of opening the kitchen, we will not have a porter; each cook will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish pit.
-Maintaining a clean station throughout service and before going home

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

- Must participate in a background screening to be considered for this location
- At least 2-years of professional baking experience
- Ability to accurately follow a recipe
- Great attitude, team player, willingness to support the pastry assistant and kitchen manager as needed
- Ability to multi-task and complete assigned projects in a timely manner
- Willingness to help other stations when needed.
- ServSafe Certified within 30-days of hire
-Eagerness to learn and grow
-Positive communication skills and ability to adapt challenges as they arise
-Ability to lift up to 50lbs
-Ability to stand up to 8hrs

$19 an hour + tips

Monday - Friday, 8 hours per shift. Overtime must be approved by supervisor.
