SFRAW is a member-supported community of people that feed raw or cooked fresh food diets to their pets.

We offer our own brand of expertly developed unique locally-made pet treats, prepared raw pet foods, herbals, supplements, and natural remedies (SFRAW Apothecary line).

If you feed raw, cooked, prey-model, BARF or other styles of fresh food DIY based diets, we have a HUGE variety of high quality meats, bones, offal, prepared foods, seafood, seasonal products, books, sundries & supplements.

Our inventory includes a well-curated selection of exceptionally high quality, unadulterated, truly wholesome, nourishing, nutrient dense, whole food ingredients.

Job Duties

We are in need of hiring a VIP! Seeking one really amazing, very hard-working, reliable production rockstar to quickly, efficiently and CLEANY:

- Pack grinds
- Portion & vacuum seal/label raw meats
- Assist with prep of raw meat products
- Clean dishes
- Wash and assist in the maintenance of production machinery (meat saw, grinder, vacuum sealers, dehydrators, roasting pans)
- Manage/move incoming inventory as support to our production lead.

Looking for long-term stable person to be an essential part of our small team.

$20 to start, for the right candidate with relevant and proven experience plus references. Raise after 3 months if they take on added responsibility. (If inexperienced, but is a hard worker that shows initiative and promise, we will start at minimum wage with a pay increase after 3 month prohibition period to either $18 or $20/hr depending on their ability and responsibilities.)

Job Requirements

This is a physically demanding job: highly repetitive production work, on their feet all day, moving/bending, lifting up to 50-lbs required.

- Working in cold environment (cooler, freezer).
- Reliable, responsible, trustworthy.
- Team player that is fast, efficient, clean.
- Understands English.
- Follow instructions, and retains information about what to do AND how to do it.
- Can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must focus on and have a full understanding of safe food handling.
- Follows food safety protocols.

ServSafe food handling certificate required (If you are not certified upon hire, we will pay for your certification)

Must love dogs and be comfortable around dogs of all sizes.

Skills/Experience Preferred

Ideally, have an interest in sustainable/regenerative or natural foods and natural health.

Compensation

$20/hour (To start, please see description for additional details)

Hours

Part-time. Schedule is 8/9am for 6-8 hours every Thursdays, Fridays and possibly Wed/Sat – starting 18-20 hours/week. (Move to full-time if exceptional worker who can move into more responsibility with an increased skillset.)
