MMclay is a handmade ceramic tableware business run by local ceramic artist and designer, MaryMar Keenan, in her Hayes Valley studio in San Francisco. With the help of her committed and talented team of makers, MaryMar produces custom tableware collections for several restaurants and hundreds of homes worldwide. MMclay has 2 retail locations in San Francisco and has been very successful within the e-commerce market, shipping out hundreds of packages a month. MMclay produces over 1000 pieces of pottery a month and is an integral part of keeping handmade ceramic art alive in one of the most expensive cities in the country. By educating customers, meeting with high-profile restaurant industry leaders, interior designers, food stylists and anyone who appreciates beautiful pottery, MMclay has been bringing art to the table since 2014 and continues to grow and thrive.

Job Duties


- Showroom Retail lead - Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (When working in Showroom, assist with shipping when needed)
- Airstream Retail lead - Fridays and Sundays
- Manage sale-able inventory, stocking, and merchandising inventory of Airstream Showroom

Manage Etsy sales channel:

- Work alongside Production Manager to make sure Etsy site is appropriately stocked, displays accurate inventory & product information, and to decide
on inventory batch orders: timing and contents
- Plan out, Create, and manage promotional ideas and sales for Etsy
- Respond to Etsy conversation emails on Thursdays and Fridays (to be discussed)

Manage inbound customer service - including incoming phones calls and [email protected] emails:

- Answer retail/sales questions - any pre-purchase questions
- Route questions that are not associated w/ retail/sales, appropriately

Manage social media (Instagram) using Canva and Later:

- Develop campaigns
- Create and/or gather content (pics and videos) from around the studio/ showroom and Airstream
- Respond to comments on posts and inquiries made in General Instagram folder (Primary inquiries to be responded to by MM)
