Our line of jewelry, founded in 2012, reflects a sophisticated approach to beadwork that is both thoughtful and unexpected. We take great pride in each design being developed and meticulously crafted in-house by our SF-based team.

The Abacus Row storefront serves as a space to celebrate design, craftsmanship and community. Our shop aims to showcase our work as well as the work of fellow creatives—independent designers, artists and small business owners. It is an ever-evolving project that holds space for us to experiment with various creative synergies, and to build communities within and across disciplines and identities.

Job Duties

We are looking for an enthusiastic and perceptive sales associate to provide customer service at our shop in San Francisco. The Sales Associate is a quick learner, responsible for providing excellent customer support—effectively communicating product knowledge and relevant information about special projects and happenings at Abacus Row. This position is great for someone passionate about design, craftsmanship and community-engagement.

• Provide exceptional in-store sales support to customers, acting in the best interest of the customer
• Actively seek and maintain product knowledge
• Accurately record sales transactions
• Arrive on-time and make sure the floor is sales ready
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop and inventory
• Restock sold inventory
• Assist with preparing new product for sales floor
• Assist with product merchandising
• Support online customer inquiries
• Track and organize inventory
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with production and studio teams

• Self-starter with ability to problem solve
• Follows directions with precision
• Physical requirement: ability to lift/carry/move min. 40 lbs.
• Interest in design, craft, and community-building
• iOS and Mac Fluent

Skills/Experience Preferred

• Merchandising experience
• Proficient with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel)
• Proficient with Shopify POS and Shopify ECommerce


$18–21 per hour



Part-time role (12 hours per week) with flexible scheduling. Must be available to work Saturdays.
