Yellow Owl Workshop is a collection of artful craft, paper, socks and jewelry for creative expression designed by artist and author Christine Schmidt.
Christine received her BFA from the Corcoran School of Art and has exhibited across the US. Her books, Print Workshop; Hand-Printing Techniques and Truly Original Projects, Yellow Owl's Little Prints and Make It Yours are all available on Amazon and Random House. Christine enlists a small dream team of women artists, makers and doers to help make things happen in the Mission District of San Francisco, California.
~Pick and pack wholesale and retail customer orders with accuracy and expediency taking care to pad items appropriately to avoid in-transit breakage of fragile items and creasing of paper goods.
~Follow all pertinent key account routing guides accurately to ensure POs meet all requirements resulting in no deductions or chargebacks.
~Order packing and shipping supplies, as needed.
~Advise production/assembly team of any stock availability issues in a timely manner.
~Communicate with production/assembly team about shipping deadlines requiring large quantities of any given items.
~Manage shipping schedule taking care to prioritize VIP/key account orders and keep track of orders with future ship dates, back orders, etc.
~Assist in ticketing products, as needed, for VIP/key accounts.
~Receive incoming goods and verify deliveries include all items listed on packing slip. Advise Operations Manager of any discrepancies in a timely manner.
~Assist in putting away and organizing stock/items received into racks for warehousing
~Prepare invoices and shipping documents for domestic and international customers, including customs and export documents
~Prepare shipping labels and interact with common carriers and shippers to ship products per customers' instructions
~Submit invoices to Accounting Manager for payment processing
~File documents related to shipping and billing transactions
~Work with our warehouse and customer to resolve any issues related to shipping and billing.
~Must have at least 1 year experience in handling the shipping function.
~Prior Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
~Strong problem-solving abilities, including but not limited to researching, organizing and analyzing information.
~Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with internal and external wholesale and retail customers
~Must be a self-starter and team player.
~Strong initiative and able to set priorities and manage multiple tasks to meet stringent deadlines.
~Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
~Proficient in Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel and Word), Quickbooks and various shipping carriers' software (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc)
~Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
~Must be able to work while standing for long periods of time
30-40 hours, 5 days a week. Some flexibility on hours
