The purpose of this role is to improve our tile customers’ experience; from the sample process, all the way through order completion and delivery. This role requires a solid balance of administrative skills from trouble-shooting, crisis liaison and judgement in prioritizing. We are seeking someone with the ability to “flex” between administrative tasks, and hands-on projects in our showrooms and warehouse.
Tile Customer Service and Trade Tile Support:
_ First touch-point for client follow-up on Ecom tile sample sales, new Business Partner account set-up and data maintenance, liaison between customer and appropriate territory manager when necessary
_ Last touch-point for tile complete notifications to customers
_ Customer service for internal team, serving Tile Sales & interfacing with Tile Ship Team
_ Field internal sales team questions/requests for updates on tile orders/production liaison
_ Coordination and communication with external vendors (i.e. XPO Freight) and external customers regarding mis-shipments, freight claims, and address changes
_ Special scenarios/partial shipping/point person for expedited and international freight shipping
_ Help coordinate specialized trade tours and events, requiring some evenings
_ Once fully trained, will help facilitate SAP processing of retail (In-Stock) tile orders (across all territories when needed)
Sales Collateral Maintenance:
_ Intranet postings (update lead-times, etc.), product specifications, spec books and catalogue
_ Tile sample flow optimization: tech-savvy to assist in executing samples to clients via our warehouse and help maintain timely shipments, flag issues, improve communication.
_ Inventory support: cycle counts of In-Stock tile and samples for warehouse
_ Work with San Francisco tile team to maintain non-inventoried samples for showrooms
_ Upkeep/replenishment of all tile sample kits, coordination with internal teams when necessary
_ Customer service experience B2B and internal
_ Experience in retail, design, hospitality and/or customer service
_ Proficiency in Mac/PC computer systems, SAP a plus
_ Comfortable with math and geometry
_ Flexibility and willingness to shift between office projects and more hands-on tasks in a factory environment or showroom floor as necessary
_ Strong communication skills, interest in design a plus
_ Ability to prioritize, problem solve, manage time and think quickly
