Proprietor David Dawson has more than 25 years of sewing design experience, encompassing interior design work in the homes of San Francisco’s most prominent neighborhoods as well as leading interior designers, firms, and showrooms NATIONWIDE. DCW’s work can be seen in leading design magazines – such as ELLE Decor, Dwell, Architectural Digest, California Home & Design, TRADITIONAL HOME and the NY Times Magazine.

Job Duties
Primary job duties include;
- sewing draperies
- roman shades
- pillows
- cushions
- bedding
and other soft goods by hand and using our sewing machines.
Job Requirements
-Comfortable working with basic construction and sewing tools such as Industrial sewing machine (e.g., Single needle, Overlock, Tacking machine, Blind Stitch) Fabric Scissors, Air Compressor, Industrial Iron, etc.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Self-motivated and takes detailed direction well
- Maintains good organization in the workplace
Skills/Experience Preferred
Applicants with expertise in workrooms and construction of heavier soft goods are preferred.
While we welcome applicants with all types of sewing and construction experience, please understand that the construction of draperies and window coverings takes a different skill set than most other forms of sewing. Applicants with expertise in workrooms and construction of heavier soft goods are preferred. Some "on the job" training may be available if necessary.
Compensation
$20-$25/hr, DOE
Benefits
Benefits available with full time employment after 90 days (sick leave carries as of day 1).
Hours
M-F, 8:00am - 4:00pm (Full Time or Part Time, Candidate choice)
