“Made in California” may soon be an official branding bonus for California manufacturers. Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro) has introduced a bill, SB 823, to establish a program similar to the “California Grown” but for products manufactured in California- allowing companies to seek a “Made in California” label and partner with the state to advertise the “Made in California” brand. SFMade played a key role in crafting the language of “locally made” for the bill.
