Newark Unified School District (NUSD) will present a lesson to high school students on October 4th about the value modern manufacturing and manufacturing jobs bring to communities. Participating companies will visit our high school campuses on October 5th and 12th to teach students more about the work they do in a Company Visit Fair. Allogene Therapeutics and Nefab Packaging will open their manufacturing facilities after school to pre-registered students and their families on October 5th and 12th, as well. Rounding out our celebration, Newark City Council will proclaim Manufacturing Week on October 12th, presenting a resolution at the City Council meeting to the hardworking staff who brought our event to life.
